Background
ADHD Now is a dedicated healthcare provider specialising in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The organisation offers a comprehensive range of telehealth services that cater to individuals of all ages, ensuring accessibility and convenience for patients.
In keeping with their focus to provide the highest level of services, ADHD Now proactively decided to evaluate its current Quality and Safety Management System (QSMS) against the ISO:13131:2021 Telehealth Services – Quality planning guidelines. Consequently, they commissioned HCI to conduct an independent Gap Analysis of their service in line with these guidelines to identify areas of strength and opportunities for improvement.
Objectives
- Identify the strengths and weaknesses of ADHD Now’s current QSMS in line with the ISO: 13131:2021 Telehealth Services – Quality planning guidelines.
- Provide a comprehensive report identifying areas of good practice and opportunities for improvement.
Solution
In order to ensure ADHD Now received a thorough assessment of their QSMS against the ISO: 13131:2021 Telehealth Services – Quality planning guidelines, HCI provided the following solution:
Development of project plan and project governance.
Offsite document review.
Remote interviews with Senior Management, Nursing, Psychiatry, and Psychotherapy teams.
Analysis of findings and development of Draft Report.
Client review of Draft Report and feedback provided to HCI.
Gap Analysis Report is finalised and presented to client.
Challenges
- ADHD Now didn’t have ISO:13131:2021 certification and therefor some of the documentation required in line with the ISO:13131 were not available at the time of the Gap Analysis.
Outcome
The gap analysis conducted by HCI provided ADHD Now with a clear baseline assessment of how their telehealth service delivery aligns with the ISO:13131:2021 Telehealth Services – Quality planning guidelines.
The analysis provided clear insights into existing strengths and highlighted areas of good practice, while also identifying focused opportunities for improvement.
The final report serves as a roadmap to guide continuous improvement, reinforcing ADHD Now’s commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, and internationally benchmarked telehealth services.
