HIQA and Safeguarding Ireland recently published Guidance on a Human Rights-based Approach in Health and Social Care Services. This guidance outlines a way of working for health and social care staff, to assist them to uphold human rights in their work.
To help you better understand the requirements of the HIQA and Safeguarding Ireland Guidance on a Human Rights-based Approach in Health and Social Care Services, we are hosting a webinar.
The aim of the webinar is to:
- Outline the rationale for the guidance document
- Discuss the Legal Framework for Human Rights
- Set out the FREDA principles
- Link HIQA National Standards to Human Rights
- Examine case studies detailing how each FREDA principle can be applied in a residential home setting.
