Business Development Representative (BDR) – Health & Social Care SaaS
Role Overview
We are seeking a mid-level Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive outbound pipeline generation and early-stage deal progression for Cloda, our AI-enabled quality, compliance, and governance platform for health and social care providers.
This is a front-line, high-activity role where cold calling, targeted outreach, and proactive engagement form a significant portion of day-to-day work. You will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and qualifying new opportunities across Irish and UK health & social care markets, working closely with senior sales colleagues to progress qualified opportunities through the sales cycle.
This role suits someone who is commercially driven, comfortable on the phone, credible with regulated care providers, and motivated by building pipeline in a consultative, compliance-led sales environment.
Key Responsibilities
Outbound Business Development
- Proactively generate new business opportunities through:
- Cold calling
- LinkedIn and email outreach
- Sector-specific prospecting
- Campaign management tools and CRM
- Target health and social care providers across Ireland and the UK, including:
- Care homes
- Home care / domiciliary services
- Disability services
- Mental health services
- Community and social care providers
- Consistently hit activity targets (calls, outreach, conversations, meetings booked)
Lead Qualification & Early Sales Cycle
- Run structured qualification conversations to understand:
- Regulatory and compliance pressures (HIQA, CQC, governance requirements)
- Current systems and processes for quality, audits, policies, and risk
- Decision-making structures and buying timelines
- Book high-quality meetings and demos for senior sales colleagues
- Support opportunity progression by gathering context, stakeholders, and pain points
- Maintain clean handovers and accurate notes in CRM
Events & Market Presence
- Attend conferences, exhibitions, and sector events in Ireland and the UK
- Act as a professional, credible ambassador for HCI and Cloda
- Engage attendees, capture leads, and follow up post-event to convert interest into pipeline
CRM & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of activity, leads, and opportunities in CRM
- Track outreach effectiveness and conversion rates
- Provide clear visibility on pipeline contribution and prospect feedback
Required Experience
- Experience in a BDR, SDR, or Mid Level Sales
- Experience selling into healthcare, social care, or regulated services is highly desirable
- Previous experience selling SaaS or software solutions preferred, particularly in:
- Quality & compliance systems
- Care management software
- Governance, audit, or risk platforms
- Demonstrable comfort with cold calling and outbound prospecting
- Comfortable with all media for engaging with potential clients; phone, email, Teams/Zoom, in person
- Experience engaging professional buyers and operational managers
